India Thrashed Again

On Wednesday (13th, October) Yemen beat India by 6-3 at Balewadi Stadium, Pune. Fortunately,
it was just a friendly encounter. The hosts were playing in Blue. Meanwhile the stadium looked awesome. And, the spectators never stopped cheering. The three India scored kept them going.

Before it rained

In recent years, Pune has changed dramatically. The city once known for its sublime weather is now crowded, hot and dusty. Still once every now and then the weather becomes sweet. As if nothing has changed. An evening before this year's rains.

How deep is your colour

Last week, I needed to click some photographs of a bungalow for storyboarding. These are some of the costliest you will find in India. Two crores and fifty lacs in Indian rupees. Outside the bungalow i saw this little guy. Needless to say he belongs to the labourers working on the site. I found him extremely amiable and very much interested in getting himself photographed. Shooting session over, he turned his attention to my friend’s daughter. In no time he had become friends with her. The two were playing together when the girl, fair skin as compared to our dark friend, started rubbing his hands as if cleaning them. We were surprised. The boy’s hands seemed clean. Later we figured out from her conversation with her mother that she was merely trying to rub off the black colour from his hands. She has taken it for dirt.
